Thermally activated delayed fluorescence in fullerenes.
This report reviews the thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) displayed by fullerenes. From the analysis of the steady-state data, time-resolved data, or by a combination of both, it is possible to determine several important photophysical parameters of fullerenes. Herein we also cover the development of temperature and oxygen sensors based on the TADF effect exhibited by fullerene C(...
متن کاملPhotophysics of thermally activated delayed fluorescence molecules.
Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) has recently emerged as one of the most attractive methods for harvesting triplet states in metal-free organic materials for application in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). A large number of TADF molecules have been reported in the literature with the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of OLEDs by converting non-emissive triplet states into...
متن کاملRestoration of Conductivity with TTFTCNQ ChargeTransfer Salts
The formation of the conductive TTF-TCNQ (tetrathiafulvalene– tetracyanoquinodimethane) charge-transfer salt via rupture of microencapsulated solutions of its individual components is reported. Solutions of TTF and TCNQ in various solvents are separately incorporated into poly(urea-formaldehyde) core–shell microcapsules. Rupture of a mixture of TTF-containing microcapsules and TCNQ-containing m...
متن کاملThermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence in CuI Complexes Originating from Restricted Molecular Vibrations
The mechanism of thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) in molecules in aggregated or condensed solid states has been rarely studied and is not well understood. Nevertheless, many applications of TADF emitters are strongly affected by their luminescence properties in the aggregated state. In this study, two new isomeric tetradentate CuI complexes which simultaneously show aggregation i...
متن کاملThermally activated delayed fluorescence with circularly polarized luminescence characteristics.
A metal-free aromatic compound with a chiral carbon sandwiched between a donor moiety and an acceptor moiety was designed. Under thermally activated delayed fluorescence, the compound displayed a photoluminescence quantum yield of 26%, and showed circularly polarized luminescence with a dissymmetry factor of 10(-3).
